It took me little more than an hour to get the swing frame together with this set of brackets. I reduced the pilot bit size from 1/4", though, as I felt the lag bolts needed more solid wood to grip. I hope the hardware supplied was stainless...it's certainly not galvanized. One of the two should be used for outside applications with treated wood. I may end up spending the extra money to get coated lag screws for longer life.The swing brackets are awesome. I attached them with 5/16 x 3" coated construction lag bolts. They will outlast the swing materials, I feel sure. I wish the swing hangers came in threes. I've never built a swing with only two or 4 swings. 3 many times, though.
