A one star comment said these were knockoff.that they are "not the Quality they'd expect from The Dominator tool Branding by Mayhew."(Catpaw sounds like an off named replica knockoff)That is not ture,CatsPaw IS a subset of tools made by Mayhew Tools.they are not back by a lifetime warranty (like the Dominator Pro Lineup subset)they are back by 2 year warranty.if you want the lifetime warranty version of this 4-piece tool setthey are called "the Dominator" by Mayhew ProPart # 60000(they have the black and red Grip)also, you might have to buy it outside of amazon.to be able to fulfill the lifetime warranty coverage.they can be found on the Snapon webpage for about $37 + shipping. (twice as much)im giving the catpaw a try.i just opened it and i really like the grip section on the metal shaft.the tips seem very sharpgreat for picking off old thread locking compound(i was using a micro flat head screwdriver, it was getting tiring and escalating my sense of impatience)i like Mayhew tools and i got free next morning delivery with amazon prime.i like the pick design, I think it will give me better leverage when scraping bolt threads, (making it easier work)Great price they are smaller picks that work great in tight spaces such as under dashboard or in engine bay. Quality excellent. The mini (M) Mayhew select hook works better in my application than either the mini (L) Lantuo hook or the mini (T) Tekton hook. The reasons maybe in the differences in the hook. In the Mayhew hook: 1. the tip of the angle is a little more acute, 2. the taper of the hook is longer, 3. the end of the hook has a much shorter straight section (M) = 0.17" compared to (L) = 0.27" and (T) = 0.31", 4. the hook opening is much smaller (M) = 0.38" compared to (L) = 0.43" and (T) = 0.46", The openeing of the hook looks way more curved, where as the other two have a very pronounced straight section before the curve begins. Another difference may be in the shank diameter (M) = 0.137" compared to (L) = 0.139" and (T) = .134". Other obvious differences would be the over all lengths (M) = 6.48", (L) = 6.50", (T) = 5.57". The mini Mayhew fits way easier between the o ring and the side of the groove and then slips very easily under the o ring and up the opposite side with damaging the o ring compared to the other two brands. Bottom line, my application requires a hook that will fit in a very confined space without damaging the o ring and the Mayhew works best for this. My work is light weight so I did not review "sturdiness" or "comfort."Other hooks have stubby points, but these are slim, much easier to catch o-rings in grooves.I get why they call it cats paw now, they are freaking sharp, excellent picks!Nice and strong picks. Gets used on the farm for maintenance on machinerySo far so good with these picks. I do not manhandle these as they feel a bit more flimsy than my Snap On ones. I broke the tips to two of my Snap On ones and wanted to try another brand. But for delicate to medium work, these are awesome. The rubber handles are easy to grab even when your hands are wet or oily.Just be cautious with these as the tips are extremely sharp.I will update this review if anything changes.I've tried several mini pick sets from Harbor Freight to Gearwrench but nothing quite compares to these Mayhews. The biggest issue with a pick of this size is that they tend to break often. Especially the Gearwrench. God knows how many times I had to have those warrantied. With my profession, I just don't have time for tools to be down. These have been far more sturdy. I like that the handles are squared, helps prevent rollaway. Haven't broken one yet and I've had them for four months so the durability is there. All in all, great price, I would definitely recommend these. After many months of hard use, these picks are still as sharp and straight as new. The handles are great and provide very good grip, and while it may seem petty they match my big Mayhew prybar set perfectly. As always Mayhew delivers a great product.Amazing quality, incredible price, fast and reliable service.Très bon service et bon prix livraison rapide MERCIQuality is lacking for the price. Made in China. Better than the super cheap Chinese sets but not by much.robuste
